Urgeiriça Mining Area

This Mining Area is located in Canas de Senhorim, District of Nelas,  and it focused on uranium exploration.

 

In the scope of this rehabilitation, the following studies and projects took place:

 

> Stabilization of slopes, sealing and mine drainage – Old Dam and Industrial Areas;

> Environmental recuperation of the surroundings of the heap – Old Dam and Industrial Areas (1st and 2nd phase);

> Infrastructures decontamination and Environmental requalification;

> Other studies related to Ribeira da Pantanha and New Dam sealing
